Your raw data<\/h5>\n

For eV-ict to work to the optimum, it is essential that all available data are provided. During the initial configuration of your eV-ict environment, we make agreements about which data will be provided and when. All data are stored in a digital safe. eV-ict processes data from, inter alia, accounting software, HR systems, ERP systems, IT management systems, support systems and current invoices. eV-ict also integrates seamlessly with spend auditors such as Snow. These look exclusively at cost management of licences, but eV-ict goes a step further by including salary and hardware costs in the analyses. eV-ict looks at the total costs of ownership and not just at the application landscape.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Data validation<\/h5>\n

Once all data have been provided, the validation process can begin. If any information is missing or the data provided are incomplete, the system will request that the data be supplemented. The more data that are provided, the more complete the picture of the organisation. If the data are not provided in full, the picture of the IT costs will be incomplete. In IT, we refer to this as \u2018rubbish in, rubbish out\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Processing<\/h5>\n

The raw data provided are categorised, linked, processed and enriched using the AI algorithms of eV-ict. \u2018Raw data\u2019 refers to \u2018non-aggregated data\u2019. Processing is carried out by means of a bottom-up aggregation between different dimensions and levels of the organisation. Linking data offers clarity into the context in which IT resources are used, the employees and groups making use of them and the costs of different services. The eV-ict data model links data from three different domains\u2014organisation, finance and technology. The system learns how the client\u2019s organisation operates and uses that information to produce increasingly efficient reports that can be viewed on a monthly basis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Results<\/h5>\n

The processed data are displayed as a series of graphs and tables, which can be accessed via a dashboard. Users can zoom in on the graphs and tables where necessary in order to identify the underlying components from the organisation in the event of queries. eV-ict provides insight into the costs by cost source, cost centre, IT service, supplier, user, IT component and month. The origin of the data can be viewed with a \u2018drill-down\u2019 menu. This way, all data can be traced back to the source data. This provides transparency\u2014where do my IT costs originate?
